Moy Yee San Jong Bai Si Ceremony – January 18, 2009
Moy Yee San Jong and Sifu Henry Moy Welcomes Its New Disciples
On January 18, 2009, the Moy Yee Kung Fu school ushered in the Chinese New Year with our annual dinner celebration. This day was particularly special because in addition to the normal festivities, Sifu Henry Moy Yee accepted Santiago Gomez, Matthew Rosenquist and Aurelio Morales to be his personal disciples with a traditional Bai-Si (Tea Ceremony). The Moy Yee Kung Fu school would like to express congratulations to the new disciples and a Happy New Year to the rest of our members and family!!!
As you may already know, the Wing Chun Bai-si ceremony is a long sacred and revered tradition in which specially selected students are brought into the Kung Fu family and taught by the Sifu as if they were his own sons or daughters. Such an honor is not given to just anyone, as the student must prove their loyalty to the school, the Sifu, and their peers, and must show they have the willingness and patience to endure the rigorous training of the Kung Fu life.
Congratulations to:
Aurelio Morales
Matthew Rosenquist
Santiago Gomez
Sifu Henry Moy and the students of Moy Yee San Jong welcome you with open arms.
