BACKGROUND OF SCHOOL

Moy Yee San Jong is a martial arts academy dedicated to the development of health, confidence, discipline and self-defense through the rigorous training of authentic Chinese Kung Fu. It is more than a gym or a health club but a school where the mind, body and spirit is strengthened through the student-mentor dynamic. It is unique among schools in the close-knit atmosphere created by Sifu Henry Moy and fellow students. New students are given particularly personalized and careful attention. Classes are offered both for adults and for children in a safe and fun environment.

BACKGROUND OF COLUMBIA CLUB

Moy Yee Martial Arts Club ("MYMAC") was originally founded by Huong Ngo in 2001 as Tai Chi Club, with great support from Casimir Swinger, M.D., a renowned eye surgeon who is on the medical school's clinical faculty. Our club gives us great opportunity to share in the riches of Kung Fu with the student body. In 2001-2002, Tai Chi Club won the Columbia University’s President’s and Provost’s Student Event Fund Award for the "Tai Chi Chuan and Ving Tsun Kung Fu Show". Students meet at Columbia University twice a week and train in Shaolin, Tai Chi, and other Kung Fu styles.
