Moy Yee Kung Fu celebrated a Bai Si ceremony on Saturday, June 18, in which Grandmaster Henry Moy Yee accepted as his disciples Arash Mokhtar, Ernest Andre Poole, Anna Du, Michael Kupferman, and Timothy Wang-Holborn. The Bai Si consisted of a tea ceremony signifying the Sifu’s acceptance of the students into his Kung Fu family and the students’ commitment to Sifu and the school. Per MYKF tradition, each new disciple was given their respective sword and a chop with their new Kung Fu name. The ceremony was followed by a Kung Fu performance demonstrating the various styles and progressions taught at the Moy Yee San Jong.
